We purchased Ethan Allen living room pieces before kids over 30 years ago, and, now that we are empty nesters, we returned to EA seeking comfortable, quality furniture we knew will last for years to come. Carolyn Johnson, Design Consultant from the West Des Moines, IA location, helped us select the perfect pieces and fabrics for our oversized great room and dining room. We were concerned with the scale of the space in relation to the size of a sectional and other pieces that would work with it. Carolyn used the actual room measurements with the EA room/furniture software, and presented us fabric and room options we may not have otherwise considered. We especially appreciated how she listened to our thoughts and concerns every step of the way, yet she was not hesitant to offer her opinion if asked. After the sale agreement was made, communication with Carolyn was prompt, and she reached out to us and made the extra effort to keep us informed of the eta of the delivery throughout our wait. We are VERY happy with our furniture, and highly recommend Carolyn Johnson and Ethan Allen.

I really enjoyed my experience the last 9 months working with Rose from the Ethan Allen office in West Des Moines, IA.. Between EA carrying quality products and sharp designers like Rose who are as nice as they are talented, I was a happy customer! EA also carry Hunter Douglas blinds/shades and we purchased some for our small patio home and are so pleased with them. Beautiful fabric and trim selection, as well!

This has been a nice experience shopping for furniture. Rose was very helpful with everything, from her knowledge of design and listening to my style, through the delivery process. I highly recommend and am impressed with the quality of my furniture, and the care taken with delivery and set up.

Rose was so helpful in helping us pick out our new bed! This was a rather large purchase for us since our current headboard was purchased at an auction over a decade ago. With a new, larger mattress we had dreams of a beautiful bed to put it on. While there were not sleigh beds on display in store, Rose took the time to show us every wood finish in person. She took the time to listen to us describe out home/style to evaluate what we wanted. She made purchasing bedroom furniture an experience! While we have to wait for our new bed to arrive (something we fully expected as quality is worth waiting for) we are fully confident it will be a bed we love and will most likely be the last one we purchase!

We were extremely pleased with our shopping and purchases at Ethan Allen in West Des Moines. Our designer Kristen did a wonderful job assisting us with the proper selections to meet our needs in our home. We purchased two upholstered swivel barrel chairs and an entertainment set that we used as office furniture. She came to our home with fabrics, took measurements and provided computer images of the items in our home. Outstanding! Carolyn arrived with the delivery and helped place the items in the proper locations. And she assisted with locating some discontinued fabric that we needed for a pillow cover. We are very pleased with this Ethan Allen experience. I have been shopping at Ethan Allen since the early 80s. It's always been good and we like decorating our home with pieces that have enduring beauty and lasting quality and have a timeless tradition to them.

Bobbi was a wonderful salesperson to work with. She listened to my concerns regarding furniture fitting in my family and living rooms and gave helpful suggestions to make it a very successful experience. I ordered a leather recliner and 2 swivel chairs. I can't wait to receive them! I am very pleased with how well Bobbi knew her stuff and led me to the perfect furniture for my home! I feel she went above and beyond what most salespeople would do! Thank you!

Great experience working with their design consultant, Carolyn Johnson, who did such a wonderful job helping us pick out new furniture. Very thoughtful and accommodating (during covid times). Items took long time to get here, but arrived sooner than their estimate! Great quality craftsmanship on the furniture.

As a man moving to the Des Moine area, I was in need of high-quality furniture and accessories for my new home. That included artwork and window treatments. I visited many furniture stores but got hooked on Ethan Allen for their service, hospitality and made to order products. It took about three visits to finalize my order but when it arrived, with my designer meeting me at my new home, I was completely thrilled with the final outcome. Since the quality is high, I don't know when I will be back since I expect it to last a long-time; however, I recommend Ethen Allen to anyone who wants to make an impression on his or her guests.
